Ray Nowakowksi of the California Motorcycle Dealers Association Dies Fishing

Ray Nowakowksi, long-time president and board member of the California Motorcycle Dealers Association, died on Tuesday, June 26.

Though at this point, details surrounding his death are sketchy, it is known that he died while fishing in the California Delta in San Joaquin County. His fishing boat has been found unattended adrift within the delta. CMDA spokesman John Paliwoda said, “His body was recovered by a dive team. At this time, the cause of death has not been determined. The Board of Directors and Staff of the CMDA extend their sincerest condolences to Ray’s family.”

At one time, Nowakowski was president of the since-closed multiline dealership Golden Gate Cycles in San Francisco.
